The Great Herring War vs. Lauren Froderman, "At Last"
It's the best St. Olaf tale vs. a glimpse of the sublime in reality TV!
The Great Herring War
Lauren Froderman, "At Last"
The case for The Great Herring War
In the first season finale of The Golden Girls, we get to see how Rose and Dorothy came to live in Blanche's too-big-for-just-her Miami home. But nothing could have prepared us for Rose's best (and first ever) story about St. Olaf
The case for Lauren Froderman, "At Last"
If these 70 seconds of dancing don't make you feel glad to be alive *and* horny as hell, check your pulse. Over the course of So You Think You Can Dance's whackadoodle 7th season, one very flexible & perky cheerleader full-on Eliza Doolittled herself into athletic brilliance. Here's Lauren Froderman's final performance from the audition process, when all of the judges realized the extent of her potential (their reaction shots are PRICELESS). This moment, buried deep within the arbitrary structure of a silly tv dance competition, is so full of joy (at one point Adam Shenkman turns to his fellow judges to exclaim "here we are in heaven!") that watching it in 2017 feels both necessary and disheartening. Oh, 2010, we were such sweet summer children then. Kinda like perky cheerleader Lauren.
