The case for The Agony Of Defeat

Jim McKay, melodramatically: "Spanning the globe to bring you the constant variety of sport. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. The human drama of athletic competition."

The title sequence for ABC's Wide World of Sports was updated several times over its 37 years on the air, but from 1972 on, the image shown to convey epic failure remained ski jumper Vinko Bogataj's alarming fall off the side of the jump. Was he okay? Did he live? Nobody knew! — Muggle32

The case for 'Not the Mama'

As discussed recently, Dinosaurs was chock full of social commentary. From family dynamics to the devastation of war to the commercialization of the holiday season to two separate episodes about a young girl's blossoming, Dinosaurs did it all.
